mj20040201_25The port of Mostyn is located on the west coast of Wales, just 20 miles from Chester city. P&O Irish Ferries operate a service between the port and Dublin’s city docks at the Point Depor, providing excellent access to the heart of Wales.

P&O Irish Sea Ferries provide a connection from Mostyn to Dublin. Running from ‘The Point’ in Dublin to the new port of Mostyn in North Wales, this convenient route brings you to within 20 miles of Chester, with easy access to the M56.

You can cruise across on the European Ambassador super ferry in only six hours or take the more conventional route on board the European Envoy in 71/2 hours. The European Ambassador has extensive facilities including Fables Restaurant, the Poet’s Bar, a gift shop, a video lounge, a children’s play area, outside viewing decks and accommodation. You may also travel in the Club Class, with daily newspapers, magazines and complementary tea, coffee and biscuits provided.

The European Envoy is a more conventional ferry though as it also offers a comfortable environment with the added benefit of having meals included in the price. On board facilities include one main lounge containing a dining area, bar, TV and comfortable seating. Sailing times are subject to change, so it is important that you reconfirm your sailing time 24 hours before departure.

European Envoy has limited passenger facilities on board. There are no lifts available to the main passenger area and access is by a staircase which may be unsuitable for the infirm, disabled or young children.

Mostyn is located just 20 miles from Cardiff, and has good road connections to the rest of Wales, while ferries frequently connect the port with Dublin/ An excellent motorway system provides easy access to the rest of Wales. There are also frequent train services running between London and Chester with links to other stations around the UK. Trains also run between Chester and Manchester.
